Nestled in East End Village, the Heritage Collection Anguilla Museum is a one-of-a-kind attraction you’ll only find on Anguilla. Read on below for more details on what makes this charming museum a worthwhile stop during your Anguillan vacation!
A Monument to the People’s History of Anguilla
Owned and operated by local Anguillan Colville Petty, Anguillan’s primary historian, the Heritage Collection Museum was born out of love of and fascination with the island of Anguilla, uniquely curated from the perspective of locals.
Many visitors see the Heritage Collection Museum as a small museum where they’ll only stop for a brief visit. Others miss it entirely. But for those lucky ones in the know (especially those interested in learning about the local history and culture of the places they visit), a trip to this museum can lead to hours of fun spent diving into Anguilla’s storied past.
Go on a curated journey through artifacts showcasing Anguilla’s evolution from the time of the Arawak tribes that once populated the island thousands of years ago to the formative fishing and boating industry years of the 1800s, to the Anguillan Revolution of 1967 and the salt industry collapse of the 1980s.
Useful Information for Planning Your Visit
